Documentary: The Truth About Exercise with Michael Mosley

Last night I watched a documentary presented by Michael Mosley called “The Truth About Exercise” that I thought I’d share with you guys. This guy, Michael Mosley, is a BBC presenter and also a medical doctor, and has put out some really fascinating stuff before, including “The Brain: A Secret History“, which I also recommend.

One of the most interesting things that’s presented in “The Truth About Exercise” is this idea that some people only need very short amounts of high intensity exercise to reap the health benefits. What’s important is that this type of exercise is not beneficial for everyone, and Dr. Mosley spends some time talking about this new idea of personalised medicine, which is a model of medical treatment that takes individual characteristics, especially genetic information, into account to treat diseases.
